For parents concerned about the effect migrating may have on their childrens education, rest assured you are in safe hands in Australia. Boasting one of the best education systems in the world, Australia is recognised as having the 8th best education system in the world.

The educational system in Australia is in many ways similar to the UK system and follows a 3 tier system. It should be noted that policies vary between states, however the general system begins with primary school for children aged 5 upwards, followed by secondary school for those aged 12 and above. At the end of secondary school, education is no longer compulsary and depending on the state, students can finish study between the ages of 15 to 17. For those looking to contine to study, Australia's final tier is for tertiary education and this covers Universities and Technical and Further Education Colleges.
