There are many climatic variations in Canada as it is such a huge country and is spread across 6 time zones. Canadians enjoy all 4 seasons and temperatures vary greatly throughout the year with summer temperatures rising to 35 C or higher; whilst winter temperatures can drop to -20 C or lower in certain parts of northern Canada. Summers can be really hot dry/humid in Central Canada and milder at the coastal regions. Spring is normally very pleasant across the whole country and autumns can be cold but extremely beautiful with fabulous display of orange and red leaves on trees. Winters maybe cold but with guaranteed snow the country becomes a paradise for those that loving skiing and winter sports.
If you arrive in Canada in the winter, you will need warm insulated clothing, waterproof boots, an overcoat, a scarf for your neck, a hat that covers your ears; and gloves or mittens. We would strongly recommend that you buy the clothing before you arrive in Canada especially if you are leaving a hot country to move over there.
Canada is the best place to escape climate change. Latest scientific studies show that Canada is one of the countries that are least likely to feel the effects of global warming. The author of the latest study explained that there are many reasons for this but most notably “because of the low pressure on natural resources resulting from a low population density and large land area, combined with high agricultural capacity, a healthy economy, few development and health challenges and excellent public institutions".
